Feng Shui forecasts for 2009

Hong Kong fortunetellers practically predict a doomsday scenario for 2009 as if to say the ox as a beast of burden symbolizes more than we care to admit — all in consonance with what economists foresee as Asia deals with the full force of the global crisis.

But Alion Yeo who reputedly predicted nuclear testing in North Korea in 2006 is more optimistic saying there could be good news in August.

“I’m pretty confident that things will start stabilizing by year-end,” he told Reuters.

Yeo, however sees a dim 2009 for U.S. President Barack Obama.

‘The new US president is not having good luck this year. His honeymoon will only be short-lived,’ said fortune teller Alion Yeo, predicting Obama may even face impeachment in his first year in office. ‘The Year of the Ox looks slightly better and less dire than last year, but it will still be bumpy.’ [Malaysian Insider]
